What Is A Roller Shutter Door? Our Roller Shutter Door consists of a curtain of interlocking slats which form a continuous hinge along the length of the slat. By the use of a spring loaded barrel, mounted to steel brackets, the roller door can be raised or lowered. An aluminium “T Bar” is fitted to the bottom slat which serves to strengthen the curtain and also allows for an Iron Curtain locking device to be fitted, if required.
The curtain is prevented from moving side to side by the use of channel guides, and fixing of the Roller Shutter Door is achieved by welding or bolting the unit to the existing structure (building). Roller Shutter Doors are effectively used in domestic, commercial and industrial applications for example garage openings, dispatch openings, shop fronts and industrial factory openings.
